Lightbulb Ias?

Okay, forgive my noobishness... but what's IAS? I'm an old school GW vet but I stopped playing for over a year, and came back a few days after Nightfall came out. I have a 20 P/W and I've been trying to read better builds than what I've been using, and I see "IAS" mentioned a lot. Anyone mind explaining this to me?

Thanks!

yep any stance or skill that increases the speed at which you attack. usually 25% increase is the standard but 33% can be attained with certain skills

IAS (increased attack speed) is a legacy term from Diablo(2) that carried over into GW.

Actually, 33% is what people usually use, but some skills provide only 25%.

EDIT: This has nothing to do with Paragons, moved to Q&A.
